To all persons who have submitted a panel/or paper proposal for the Conference Legacy of Slavery and Indentured Labour, Migration and Diaspora,

Dear participant,
Now the submission of paper proposals is formally closed, we are going to a next stage of the conference in which some important things have to be done:
a. Writing your full paper according the guidelines for full papers;
b. Making your arrangements for your journey to Suriname.

Ad. a. As you know the deadline for submission op full papers is 15 April 2018. Please keep that in mind. We are going to put all papers on our website: https://lsil2018.com/ . The papers will be uploaded on or around 1 May 2018. To see the guidelines for papers Click Here!.

Ad. b. We advise you to make the booking for accommodation (hotel or apartment) as soon as possible. The number of rooms per accommodation is limited: First come first served. Those who are planning to travel via Amsterdam, please not that there are only two airlines flying directly from Amsterdam to Paramaribo: Suriname Airways and KLM. For those traveling via USA or Canada, have to make use of Caribbean Airlines, Surinam Airways or Insel Airlines.

Please check the cheapest route and the cheapest airlines if you want to save money.
Although we don’t promote any particular travel agency, we want to inform you that a travel agency from Suriname, Ara Travel has offered its services to all foreign participants of the conference. They can make arrangements for bookings of your accommodation, transport, sightseeing, tours in Suriname and transport.

Uitnodiging :

U wordt bij deze uitgenodigd voor deelname aan de conferentie Legacy of Slavery and Indentured Labour die door de Anton de Kom Universiteit wordt georganiseerd van 18 tot en met 22 juni2018.
Plaats: het IGSR gebouw.

De opening vindt plaats op maandag 18 juni om 7 uur en de panelsessies vinden plaats op dinsdag 19 tot vrijdag 22 juni. Het geheel wordt afgesloten met een excursie op zaterdag 23 juni.

De deelnamekosten is: SRD 150,- per persoon voor de hele duur van de conferentie. : SRD 100,- voor 1 dag (inclusief lunch)en voor dagdeel SRD 50, -.(zonder lunch. Zij die zich voor de hele conferentie inschrijven ontvangen een conferentietas met inhoud, hebben recht op een lunch en mogen de side events bezoeken.
